Standard:
JŽS S2.013
CONSTRUCTION:
Symetrical high-frequency quads (VF)
Conductor: soft annealed copper wire of 1,2 mm class 1
Insulation: paper cord and paper tape
Low-frequency quads (NF)
Conductor: soft annealed copper wire of 0,9 mm and
1,2 mm diameter, class 1
Insulation: paper cord and paper tape
Twisting elements:
– Symmetrical quads diameter of 1,2 mm,
– Low-frequency star quads diameter of 0,9 mm;
1,2 mm
Cable core: concentric stranded (see cross section)
Adjacent layers have the opposite direction of twisting.
Core wrapping: at least one layer of four paper tapes, with an overlap. It is allowed one carbonized or metallised paper tape over the last paper tape.
Inductive protection: smooth, seamless aluminium sheath, aluminum minimum purity 99,5%
Protection from mechanical damage and corrosion: several layers above and below the two steel tapes coated with a compound. Minimum thickness is 0,5 mm for cables with diameter over aluminum sheath up to 30 mm and minimum thickness is 0,8 mm for larger diameters. Max. gap of steel tapes is 1/3 width of the tape.
The type and structure of the inner and outer protective layer can be determined by the producer provided that the armoure meets all the requirements of good protection.
Outer sheath: PVC sheath (type STA-V), black colour (UV protection).
STA cable has as the last layer of chalk.
APPLICATION:
Railway signal and telecommunication cables designed for laying along a railway line electrified single-phase system 25 kV, 50 Hz and DC direct current system 3000 V.
