Standard: IEC 60794; VDE 0888
CONSTRUCTION:
Optical fibers:
MM – multimode 50/125 µm or 62,5/125 µm
according to ITU-T Recommendation
Material of fibers:
a) core – Silicon glass: (SiO2) doped with Germanium Dioxide (GeO2);
b) cladding: Silicon glass (SiO2)
c) primary protection: Dual layer of UV-cured acrylate resin
Fibers designation: according to IEC 60304, TIA/EIA-598; DIN VDE 0888
Secondary protection of fibers: HFFR insulated „tight-buffered“, fiber of 900 µm diameter
Cable core:
Cable core is without FRP, two „tight buffered“ fibers 900 µm joined together below the common 8-shaped sheath with a central web, designed as a „zip cord“.
(2 parallel guided simplex cables – via a web connected together).
Watertight element: Cable core is dry.
Peripheral supporting elements: Aramid fibers doped with swellable powder are used as water and mechanical protection.
Sheath ripcord: one or more ripcord placed under outer sheath.
Sheath: HFFR – Halogen free, flame retardante, yellow, orange, beige, turquoise, gray colour (on customer request)
Flame retardant: IEC 60332-1
No flame propagation in vertical cable bundle:
IEC 60332-3
Halogen-free: IEC 60754-1
Non-corrosive combustion gases: IEC 60754-2
Low smoke density: IEC 61034-2
APPLICATION:
Easy strippable 900 µm diameter tigh buffer fiber.
These cables are used for the data network cabling in indoor applications.
A big advantage of this cable type is its space-saving construction. The connector is directly mounted at the tight buffer.
Completely dry design.
The permissible temperature range:
– during installation: from -10°C to +50°C
– during operation: from -20°C to +70°C
– during storage and transport: -25°C to +60°C
Min. permissible bending radius:
– Operation: 20D
– Fixed: 15D
Tensile strength, max. (N): 400 N
(or other on customer’s request)
